Don't Let Anyone Tell You That Posting To The Free Classifieds Does Not Work!


Here is a little experiment I did.


Several months ago I got lazy about posting to the free classifieds.
Actually it was my computer that was giving me problems making
posting ads quite time consuming. So I didn't post many ads, maybe
4 or 5 a few times a week, just to mainly check on the links in the
directory to make sure they were still working. I had a good Alexa
ranking before I stopped posting as many ads, then it started dropping
rather fast.


Then I got a new computer. Pages load so much faster now (I think
the modem in my old computer was going bad and causing all the
problems). Since it was so much faster, I started posting 15 to 20
ads a day. My Alexa ranking raised by 4173 in one month. More
hits starting coming to my site through Google. My website traffic
and sales increased. More hits started coming to my site through my
ads, which makes sense as the more visible it is, the more apt it is to
be clicked on. Posting more ads in the free classifieds was the only
thing that I did differently.

Therefore, this experiment proves that having your link on many sites
also improves your website ranking. Note, I'm not talking about
reciprocal links where you have to post a link back. Your link on the
free classifieds sites are one-way links, and one-way links score higher
in the search engines.


So posting to the free classifieds are well worth the effort.
